 Carol Tomaino is the President
and Sr. Consultant for MM&R Consulting.
Ms. Tomaino is a Registered Nurse, with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Psychology and Management.
Carol's professional history includes over 30 years in general
healthcare nursing, healthcare administration, and ambulatory
care management.
Upon earning her accreditation, Carol entered
the field of healthcare working in hospital settings in acute and critical care,
including intensive and coronary care; medical surgical nursing; and in surgery
and post-surgical recovery.
Carol has worked in ambulatory care management and in occupational and employee health
administration. Ms. Tomaino was instrumental
in setting up industrial monitoring programs, chemical exposure
reduction programs, drug screening and wellness programs, disability
and workers' compensation Return To Work (RTW) programs, and various compliance,
health and safety education programs.
Ms. Tomaino had an integral part in setting up occupational health clinics
that were instrumental in reducing injury and illness in the workplace.
As Associate Director and Director of Blood Banking Collections, Ms. Tomaino was
instrumental in developing training programs to assess and ensure quality performance
in regulatory environments.
Ms. Tomaino has extensive experience in the
field of med-legal case management intervention; discharge planning;
disability assessments and reassessments; life care planning
for disability and chronic illness; and specializes in catastrophic, brain and spinal
cord injury, multiple trauma and orthopedic injuries, and complex work injuries and
illnesses.
As a professional, Ms. Tomaino takes pride in offering services that are
objective and have a proven track record of achieving positive outcomes and yet are
cost-effective.
